"First chance they get they’ll be tearing at each other like rabid dogs. Marching together today. Spite and ateing each other tomorrow.”
THAT LOT theatre present TRAITOR, a new play written and directed by Shane Mac an Bhaird.
What happens when a radical, charismatic leader from the left is within reach of government? What compromises does she need to negotiate and how will she be haunted by those she betrays?
Set in both 2026 and 2016, Traitor follows the stories of five people caught up in a changing world: their betrayals, loves and body modifications. The lies are peeling back…Ireland is about to shed its skin.
THIS SHOW WILL BE PREMIERED THIS SEPTEMBER IN DUBLIN.
This is an ambitious production with a cast of 5 and a creative team that includes set and costume designer CAIT CORKERY and Sound Designer ROB MOLONEY.

The money we raise as part of the fund-it campaign will go towards a design budget for set and costume as well as contributing towards the costs of rehearsal space and publicity.
This is a challenging collaborative production and one that hopes to raise difficult questions and provoke plenty of debate. The world is experiencing great political and social upheaval at the moment and we hope that TRAITOR will reflect, explore and explode some of the questions of our moment.
We would like to thank our funders for any support they were able to give. It is only through your generosity that it is possible to get our work to an audience. We are truly grateful for your patronage. Thank you.
