The Village Hall - The Niall McCabe Band

By Niall McCabe Band

description

The Project

We've been writing away for the past two years and are finally ready to record a collection of new songs, which we feel are some of our strongest to date. We will be recording our next studio album with a twist however. We want to do it in front of a live audience in a beautiful vintage clothing and furniture store in Cork City, "The Village Hall". The recording will take place over two evenings in November and will also be filmed each night. This will be more an attended recording session than a normal concert and those attending will have the opportunity to experience what a real recording session is like, hear the various versions of the same song, and get to be there when the final album version goes down. We have limited numbers for this reward so get them fast

Obviously, with a live recording date there is no guarantee of what exactly will happen on the night. However, we are hoping that the audience and the extra energy (dare we say danger) of the process will only add to the performance and value of the recording.

About the Band

The band are Niall McCabe (Vocals, Guitar), Davie Ryan (Drums), Hugh Dillon (Guitar) and David Duffy (Bass). This collection of four of Irelands leading session musicians have a wide variety of skills and experience in music. From masters in composition and jazz performance, to work writing music for tv adverts, recording/mixing albums and touring and teaching. This culminates in a sound that is rich in experience, depth and subtlety through years of crafting music. The band achieved some national success with their first album "Part of the Light" being radio 1 album of the week, followed by appearances on the Saturday show.

What will you're support help with?

Recording an album is a very costly venture. Without crowdfunding we don't feel that we would have the resources to produce an album (plus associated videos) to the standard that we would be proud to share. We also feel crowdfunding is a great way to give our fans the chance to come to this unique experience we are offering. The Fund it will be used to record, mix, master and duplicate the album, along with a live video for each track on the night of the recording. There are few risks if we receive the funding. The only risk is that the recordings on the night are not successful. However the point of this project is to capture a live performance and as such whatever the end result is, is what will be released. We are confident our past experience will allow us realise this.

Thank you for taking the time out to read about our Fund it. We hope you can put faith in us to produce a great second album, and that you would like to be part of it - Niall, Davie, Duffy and Hugh
