Staring at Lakes - Debut Album

By Staring At Lakes

We are delighted to announce that Staring at Lakes Debut album is set for release in the coming months. We have given so much time and effort to this project and to these songs which have been re-written, re-arranged and re-recorded several times at this point.

As most of you are aware, record labels and financial backing is almost a thing of the past and most emerging bands have to cover the costs themselves. Unfortunately, we've spent every penny we have at this stage of the album. We have many overheads still to cover including mixing, mastering, album artwork, duplication and printing.

So, bearing all this in mind, we are asking you, our families, friends, fans, fellow musicians and any other kind people out there, to help us achieve our target and bring our album to realisation.

We've recently released the first single, which has received a great response and some very positive reviews.

'a moving atmospheric slow-burning orchestral indie pop track' Nialler9

'Consanguinea, from a forthcoming album, is a gentle, atmospheric alt folk track that comes off like a mix somewhere in between Sigur Ros, Hafdis Huld and Lisa Hannigan with beautiful, ethereal (yes, ethereal) vocals. A beautiful song and one to watch.' Deadly Music.

'The arpeggiated melodies, broad reverberant sound and stylish production of ‘Consanguinea’ capture Staring at Lakes sound perfectly. Imbued with a slow-burning hush and constantly engrossing, the single is an exciting indication of the group’s clear depth of talent.' Last mixed tape.

We are now looking forward to releasing the full album. We've been extremely fortunate in collaborating with Kate Murphy for the artwork and photography which will be included in the rewards designed for you.

Take a look at them and whatever it is you can afford, we really do appreciate it.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the album launch.
