Ill-Advised Theatre Company are back once again!

Ill-Advised Theatre Company was set up a year ago with the goal of bringing high quality and professional standards of musical theatre to the Irish stage, and we did just that! Over the year we've managed to develop our company and enjoyed a successful two week run in The New Theatre with our premier production '[title of show]'. Our vision of cheaper and accessible musical theatre became a reality and we proved that you don't have to take out a small loan to enjoy a taste of Broadway!

We are now setting out sights on our next production, 'Spring Awakening', by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater! We hope to stage the show in early April 2015.

Spring Awakening is based on the 19th century play of the same name. It tells the story of a group of young people growing up in 19th century Germany and being oppressed by the adults and society of the time. The combination of this classical setting with the indie-rock score makes it truly apparent how relevant these topics still are in today’s society and still need to be discussed and addressed in an open manner. This ground-breaking piece of theatre is relatable for younger generations and adults alike, and is sure to engage with an Irish audience.

Presently, we need your help to raise the funds to pay for the performance rights and the venue. We need all the help we can get to get this production up and running!

Over it's year long life, Ill-Advised has successfully introduced new, fresh, young talent to the Irish theatre scene and created a gateway into the professional world for them. This has spanned from young up-and-coming actors, musicians, designers and producers and we hope to continue to provide this stepping stone for young talent with Spring Awakening. Any help you offer is in turn helping bring the next generation of Irish theatre and creativity forward.
