Shadows & Dust Debut E.P.

By Shadows And Dust

We are Shadows and Dust, and we are a folk-rock band based in Dublin.

The band members are:
Dermot Kennedy//
Micheál Quinn//
Lia Wright//
Erik Vaughan//

We are about to begin recording our debut E.P. in Temple Lane Studios, and we would really appreciate some support to help us in the process. This will go towards the recording and mastering of the 5 tracks, and the manufacturing of the physical copies, including the artwork, which we consider to be extremely important.

In the past some gigs of note that we have played are support slots to artists such as James Vincent McMorrow and Michael Kiwanuka, in The Sugar Club and The Grand Social, respectively.

More recently, to promote the release of our latest track, The Bridge of Sighs, we played our own headline gig in the main room in Whelans, which went extremely well, so now we're hoping to build on that success.

We have also played live on RTE Radio 1's Arena show, TG4's Pop4 and Today with Pat Kenny on RTÉ Radio 1, as well as Totally Irish with John Barker on 98fm.

Two of our favourite places to play are Nighthawks at The Cobalt and the Ruby Sessions.

Once we've recorded our debut E.P. we plan on doing a tour of Ireland, where we can bring our music to a wider audience, finishing with an official launch gig in Dublin.

The video on our profile was made in November 2012. It's just a sample of what we're about and will give you a glimpse of the kind of music that will be on our debut E.P. We hope you enjoy it.

We can't achieve these things without some support from people who enjoy our music, so if you do decide to get involved with our project, you'll be helping us grow as a band in a major way. Also, if you do lend a hand you can get a physical copy of the E.P., a personal thank you printed on the sleeve of our debut release, or we will even come and play a private gig in your home/garden for you, your friends, and whoever else you wish to invite!

Thanks very much :)
