'Patsy Dick'

By 925 Productions

Our film 'Patsy Dick' is a true story about a man who put aside his own disappointment in order to help an American couple Tom and Sarah have a child. The central theme of our film is that joy can be found in the most unexpected places. We believe passionately in this project and all the people involved. Now we need your help in raising completion funding. This would be the sound mix, the final grade for our film's look, the score along with the distribution and marketing to film festivals worldwide.

925 Productions is a production company run by Laura McNicholas and Clodagh Downing.

Laura McNicholas - I founded 925 Productions and am the producer of 'Patsy Dick'. I began producing plays which had successful runs in both The Smock Alley Theatre and Andrews Lane Studio. I then worked in Windmill Lane and Image Now and have gained experience on many different productions. My short film ‘Love & Depth’ ran at both The Galway Film Fleadh and the Belfast Film Festival in 2009. The following year I acted in and produced the winning Irish entry, 'The Departed', in the Jameson/Empire Done in 60 Seconds competition.

Clodagh Downing - I wrote and acted in 'Patsy Dick'. I trained as an actress at the Manchester Metropolitan University and since then have appeared in many plays and films. In 2008 I wrote my first play ‘The Evolution Of Lauren Begaun’ which premiered at the Dublin Fringe Festival and then toured. A five minute film version called ‘Lauren’, will begin its festival run this year. The script for 'Patsy Dick' was shortlisted for the Cork Film Centre award in 2011.

Kevin de la Isla, I am the director of 'Patsy Dick' and also work as a freelance editor. I directed 'The Departed' which won the Irish leg of Jameson/Empire Done in 60 Seconds in 2010 and I won again in 2011 with 'Shadow of a Vampire'. I also directed the play ‘Stoker’ which ran in The New Theatre in 2010.

From the beginning the story attracted an amazing cast and crew. In order to justify their commitment and hard work we need your help. Please help us and pledge whatever you can afford so we can reach our goal of raising €3,500.
