My name is Naomi Bolger and I've been drawing for years now. It started out as a hobby, which quickly developed into my biggest passion in life. I studied animation for one year and illustration for two years in Ballyfermot College of Education.

I've done work for various clients involving character design and t-shirt design. I've self-published an original comic with my partner, and am currently working on another. I've been selling my art at conventions for the last four years. Getting to interact with people who love the art and want to buy my prints is such a motivating experience, and it's really cemented the idea that art is what I want to keep doing.

Inside this book you'll find character designs of sci-fi, fantasy, superhero and various other styles. You'll see some life drawing studies, some comic book pages, covers and a large amount of personal work. I primarily use pencil, ink and marker over digital media, and I believe that's a rarity with the art industry the way it is, so it's a really fun way to show that traditional media still has a huge place in the industry. It contains various styles of my artwork from 2011 to present, and I hope with all the support, I can create a second volume in another year or two.

The funding will go towards a high quality print run of the book. We're looking at an approximately 50 page, full colour A5 printed copy from Gemini Printing, who are known for printing many Irish comic books and art books, so the quality you can expect will be superb!
