Life by Maria Ann Hylton

By Maria Ann Hylton

description

'Life' with your generous help will be our 4th short film. It is a story about Sarah, a young woman who during a walk along the beach with her beloved Father Sean, finally opens up and discusses the tragic loss of her Mother.

It will be a moving, thought provoking and visually striking film which deals with themes such as loss, regret, identity and reconciliation.

OUR PLAN

We need to raise at least €3,500 to contribute to the costs estimated at €5000.

We ourselves have raised €1,500. All funds will be used for hiring equipment, insurance, locations, costumes, makeup, props and post production (editing, sound design, grading).

It will be a 3-day shoot which will take place in October. Post-production will be completed by March 2014. The premiere will be held at a Dublin City location in April 2014.

We plan to submit this film to festivals in both Ireland and abroad. Your contribution would be greatly appreciated and is crucial to getting the project up and running.

Our previous short films - Waiting (2012) Bittersweet (2011) and The Couple (2005) have screened and won awards at various festivals including Short Film Corner Court Metrage - Cannes Film Festival, Fastnet Film Festival, Cork Film Festival, Portobello Film Festival, 3rd Annual Yellow Fever Film Festival, Clones Film Festival, KINOFILM, 2nd Underground Cinema Film Festival and included in Clermont – Ferrand's Short Film Market.
