We've spent a long time getting ready to make this film. We've written numerous scripts over the past year and a half. We've thrown all of them out and although they were good, they were not good enough. We feel that this one is. We've spend the last five months working on it to get it to what we feel is perfect and we know the visual style and standard we want and know how to get it.

With your help, we need to raise €3,000 for equipment hire, insurance, set dressing, location renting and to feed and pay for travel for our cast and crew who are donating their time and expertise to this project for free.

Synopsis:

Mark seems comfortable being a big fish in a small pond. When the doors of opportunity present themselves to him he always finds an excuse to return to his destructive lifestyle. Even the prospect of a loving relationship in a different part of the world fails to break these bonds. Has Mark finally made one excuse too many?

**We don't want to give too much away but this film is in the style of observing the life of one person in their environment.

People:

Tristan Heanue is cast to be playing the lead role of Mark. Tristan is a great actor who can play a character from the heart and is perfect to play Mark. He's had some good roles in the last year but one of his best performances (so far) is in Paddy Slattery's "Runner" IMDB | Showreel

The film will directed by Alec Moore. Alec has just finished a feature documentary on John Boormans Excalibur titled "Behind the sword in the Stone" and is dying to get his teeth into a narrative film again. He has also directed some music videos, the latest one being for the wonderful up and coming Irish band - Shadows & Dust. (The song is called "Homely Ground" check it out) IMDB | Showreel

Our DOP is the very talented Kevin Minogue. Kevin is an experienced director of photography but more importantly, he's very creative and innovative. Nothing is impossible or out of the question with Kevin. He has done some wonderful work on music videos for "Funeral Suits" and very recently "Walking on Cars".
