We all need a good night out from time to time! Club Tropicana is a unique clubbing and live music event for adults with ID. Produced by That's Life (disability arts program) and their team of artists, DJs and performers with ID, Club Tropicana is an opportunity for people with ID to have a night out, socialize and have a boogie in style! That’s Life work with local artists to curate the stunning visual installation for the event, giving club goers an all encompassing festival-like experience.
Join us in making this fantastic event a reality in June 2018!
The money raised for this project will pay for: rental of Black Box Theatre Galway, sound engineer, cover band, performer fees for DJs, VJs and band Electric Dreams.
That’s Life is an arts and personal development program of the Brothers of Charity Services, Galway. People with intellectual disability have opportunities to discover and realise their artistic potential through participating in a wide range of high quality arts programs. Club Tropicana is a project that we have been developing and expanding since 2008. Now Ireland's biggest clubbing and live music event for people with ID, Club Tropicana is bold and ambitious by any standard. Club Tropicana is also a model for inclusion and participation whereby artists and performers with ID are integral to all aspects of the production.
If we are successful with the funding we will, without a doubt, throw the biggest party of the summer. We have many years experience in doing so and our primary challenge is the growing cost. If we can overcome that challenge the rest will follow.
We have chosen to crowd fund Club Tropicana 2018 due to its increasing size and scope. That’s Life Arts Program is part of the Brothers of Charity Services Galway who will contribute in part to the delivery of this event. Club Tropicana is the only event of it's kind and we feel it’s vital it happens in 2018.
