BlueFire Street Fest 2015

By BlueFire

BlueFire Street Fest is a free annual celebration of the cultural and artistic diversity in Dublin that lets you travel the world in 80 steps!

The 2015 BlueFire Street Fest takes place in Smithfield Square, Dublin 7, on Saturday, 19 September and will see an array of Dublin’s international and local performers and artists from the Dublin arts scene. With world music on the main stage, a graffiti art jam, street performers, buskers, a market fair, drumming workshops and salsa beats, inspirational talks, and of course a children's area for the young'uns, it's lining up to be another incredible festival!

This is our 3rd annual BlueFire Street Fest which is organised and run by BlueFire’s team of volunteers. As you might imagine, organising a free festival to the same high standard as a ticketed event is particularly challenging, especially when it comes to costs, however so far, we’ve raised two thirds of the target needed for this year’s festival thanks to our supporters including Jameson, Dublin City Council and Visit Dublin.

Now, we’re depending on your generosity to make up the remaining one third needed to make this year’s festival better than ever! Any contribution would be much appreciated, and aside from receiving our undying gratitude and affection, you'll also get the satisfaction of knowing that you're helping keep this great event free for everyone!

As the BlueFire team works on a voluntary basis your contribution will go directly towards organising and running the BlueFire Street Fest 2015.

At BlueFire, our mission is to foster integration through the arts and community engagement by creating free artistic and cultural events that make the most of Dublin, its diversity and its space. BlueFire’s dedicated team is working tirelessly to ensure this year’s festival is a success - but we can't do it alone! Join BlueFire's creative and energetic team and let's bring Smithfield Square alive with the best of Dublin’s world cultures.

Thanks to our Fund it Project Partners, every €1 you contribute will be matched with €1 by the following businesses if this campaign is successful.

- Back from the Future
- Centra
- Dublin 2020
- Fresh, the Good Food Market
- Generator Hostel
- QED Training
- Smyths Food Group
- Story of the Irish, Smithfield

That means that when you pledge €10, we receive €20! When you pledge €25, we receive €50!

.....So get ready to travel the world in 80 steps at BlueFire Street Fest this September 19th 2015 in Smithfield Square.

Warm Support for #BFSF15

After taking a post-festival rest, we're delighted to be back with a glowing report about BlueFire Street Fest 2015. Thousands of people descended on Smithfield Square on 19th September, and like the weather on the day, the atmosphere was warm and beautiful too. We'd like to extend a very big and very warm thanks to everyone who supported the festival this year, including all of you who very generously contributed to our fund:it campaign, as well as to our fund:it match partners. We honestly couldn't have done it without your help. We'll be in touch with everyone to whom rewards are due in mid-October. Many thanks again. Warm regards, The BlueFire Team

We're 94% funded with 45 mins to go!

It's like watching an All-Ireland Final in BlueFire HQ today. We have about 45 minutes to raise the remaining 6% of our target. Thanks SO much to all of you who have donated so far. You've brought us on an incredible journey. Fingers crossed we'll make it to the end as a success... Eek!

Only a few hours left!

There's only a few hours left until the campaign is over, but no matter the outcome, we want to say a big fat THANKS YOU'RE AMAZING to ALL our funders. We are genuinely so grateful for all your donations and think you should all hug yourselves for being so good. We're sending you heaps of gratitude from the entire BlueFire Team.

Last minute funds!

Dear all, We are so thrilled to announce that we've received last minute funds! Last night's table quiz fundraiser went amazingly well and we want to thank all those who attended - not only was it great fun, but also a great contribution towards our Fund:It campaign. We also want to thank The Cobblestone for their generous donation - it's great to see so many local businesses getting involved with the festival and the community! http://www.cobblestonepub.ie/Home Finally we want to thank Lycamobile who have just become one of the festival's official partners - we're very happy to have them on board and look forward to collaborating in the future! http://www.lycamobile.ie/en/ We only have a few hours until our :fund:it campaign runs out and we are SO close to hitting our target. Fingers crossed! The BlueFire Team

Thanks to you we're 63% funded

Our BlueFire Street Fest 2015 project has been receiving significant attention since it started 19 days ago. Twenty nine amazing people have donated to it so far, meaning our project is almost two-thirds of the way, at 64%, towards becoming funded. It's been making national headlines too, with The Irish Times and The Herald both publishing articles about the Street Fest and BlueFire's tireless CEO Keren Jackson (see links below). It's more important than ever that we celebrate cultural diversity. We really want to stage the best BlueFire Street Fest yet. There are only 2 days left of the campaign, over which we need to raise the remaining 36% that would make it successful. Please donate to help us cross the finish line. Remember, if our project does raise the full €5,000 on fund:it, every euro donated will be matched by our partners, earning it €10,000 in total. Many thanks.
