Galway-based Baile An Salsa is an international band comprised of ten musicians originally from seven different countries. We blend our passion for traditional Irish Music with Latin Rhythms, creating a fusion which we call “Salsa-Trad."
Baile An Salsa's music is original material composed by the band, blended with traditional Irish tunes. Our previous recordings - a self titled EP and our album, "Tribu" - received airplay and accolades at home in Ireland and several other countries - Colombia, Poland, Uruguay, Canada, Singapore and China, to name a few!
We started recording our second CD late last year, then returned to performing live. During this break, the songs were molded and fine tuned, and we're ready to get back in the studio and present an even more multicultural sound for this second album!
Exciting times! We have booked the recording studio for this September to complete this new CD. We are also very excited to be working with 5-time Grammy winner, Walter Flores! Walter is a master at recording studio production and brings out the best in our music.

Since forming in 2012, we have performed at well-known festivals in Ireland and abroad, including the Temple Bar Trad Fest, The Cork Gathering, The Galway Oyster Festival, the Galway Guinness Festival, the Kansas City Irish Festival, the Kansas City Folk Festival - and we'll be playing at this year's Philadelphia Folk Festival. We have also appeared on several live television programmes, including "The Late Late Show" and "Imeall."
Although playing music with this big family of ours has great benefits and is very satisfying, recording costs are understandably higher with a large band! We are all very involved in this mega project, and we are partially funding the recording of the album ourselves.
Expenses for the entire project include recording studio time, mixing, mastering, design, manufacture and accommodation (there are 11 of us, including the producer)! Your support would provide the extra funds needed for:

CD Design and Print - 2,000
We are SO very passionate about the recording and release of our second, full length album! This project gives us the chance to spread the music and our message even further, while getting to know more of you better!
