ABOUT THE PROJECT
Irish based Theatre Project, Vile Bodies, present the Irish Premiere of AFTER THE END by Dennis Kelly (Matilda, BBC Three's Pulling, DNA). This production was originally produced by The Lir Academy and will be running at:
The Lyric Belfast | 1st – 3rd February 2018
The New Theatre, Dublin | 6th – 24th February 2018
AFTER THE END is a thrilling 90 minute play that touches on themes of power, fear, morality, violence, politics and the human capacity for change.
Louise awakes to find herself in a nuclear fallout shelter with her work colleague, Mark. He’s rescued her from the devastation of a suitcase bomb and taken her to the bunker in his garden. Forced to spend two weeks together in alarming intimacy, tensions rise as they pick at each other’s insecurities in a fight for dominance.
An exhilarating study in the balance between morality and instinct in the fight for survival.
