This film is by Mark McCabe, Eddie Jackson, and Jordan Ballanitine. This is our Fund:it project.
THE STORY
This short film is set around a family who return home for a dinner prepared by their Auntie. They are back for one weekend, under the premise of visiting their sick mother the next morning. As the tension rises and the household reaches breaking point, can they keep it together for the sake of family?
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
The film was shot over three days in April, 2012. The cast and crew of 21 all worked for free because of their belief in the project, we have utilized all possible avenues including a fundraiser which covered production costs.
The film is now completed and ready for distribution.
Your funding will directly contribute to getting this film the exposure we feel it deserves. There has been considerable industry buzz surrounding this film, but unfortunately all of that momentum will be wasted as we cannot afford to send it off to festivals, which are inherently expensive to enter.
THE BREAKDOWN
Withoutabox.com, an essential tool for submitting to festivals offers a “Power Submitter” upgrade which costs €320. Using this, we will receive a €5 discount off every single festival we enter which will allow us to enter approximately 100 festivals over the course of 2 years.
The rest of the money will go towards printing copies of the DVD, press kits and postage.
